Just Start

More often than not, what’s keeping us from starting something we really want to be doing is a limiting belief about ourselves, a fear of some sort. I know for me there’s always the fear of failure hanging above me like a dark rainy cloud.
That’s why I enjoyed very much Charlie Chaplin’s quote above. What he’s basically saying is this: the fact that you might fail at something is irrelevant.
Just starting something, with everything that it entails — namely the uncertainty of whether you’ll succeed or not, the risk of making a fool of yourself, or wasting your time, or ending up someplace completely different than what you expected — just starting is an act of courage.
So be kind to yourself whenever you start something new and know that taking the first step, and every other step along the way, is a success in itself. You’re already victorious.
